I had my “ah-ha!” wine moment in 1987  on a life changing trip to France’s Loire Valley.  Each day we bicycled 30 miles through farm country and each evening we dined with a tasting of the town’s local wines.  It was a most magical week.

In the mid 1990’s I made my first trip to the Napa Valley with my wife to be Karla.  We spent merely a day tasting through a few of the major roadside wineries.  This one short day rekindled the flame that had been burning in me since that memorable week in France.  I, like thousands of tourists each year, joined a wine club and my collection was born.

This growing collection mirrored my thirst for wine knowledge. After researching the elite wine education programs, I found myself immersed in courses at The Culinary Institute of America where I trained under some of the finest wine professionals in the country.  I have chosen to use what I learned by helping others appreciate wine. 

Wine should make you smile as its pleasures are both hedonistic and cerebral.  Each unique course I administer is fun, educational, and relaxed in nature.  My services will help you further appreciate wine and the different varietals the world has to offer.
